10. The determined letter- The ink had smeared. The edges had frayed. Most of the words were gone and few were barely holding on. Nobody would understand it when it arrived, it knew that. It had known that for a while now. And still it is peering from table, beside that window, with the lighthouse spinning and the seagulls going wherever they pleased, holding itself open, carrying what was left of what it had meant to say. Tattered didn't mean finished. Smudged didn't mean silent. It had come this far and it would go the rest of the way. That's what the receiver has entrusted it with. And it is determined to deliver.
