How Do You Use Server Storage to Manage Large Art Files?
popover-toggle-icon

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on several large illustration and animation projects lately using my XP-Pen display, and I’m curious how other artists here handle file management and long-term storage. As projects get bigger, high-resolution layers and exported videos quickly add up, so I’ve been exploring better ways to organize everything.

Some creators I know are now using server storage as part of their workflow not in a technical or complicated way, but simply as a reliable way to centralize artwork, backups, and multi-device access. It seems especially useful for those who switch between a tablet, a PC, and a laptop.

  • How do you manage your growing art libraries?
  • Do you rely on external drives, cloud sync, shared storage, or something else?
  • Any best practices for keeping projects safe, fast to access, and neatly organized?

Looking forward to learning from your experiences!
