My entry for the XP-Pen “Illusory Spring Dream” contest: This piece represents the emotional transition between winter and spring. I wanted to portray spring not as something sudden, but as a soft, almost illusory presence that slowly awakens through the protagonist’s journey. As the character moves through a cold and silent landscape, small traces of life begin to bloom around them, symbolizing hope, renewal, and emotional healing. The color palette reinforces this idea: cool tones represent winter and emotional distance, while soft greens and pinks symbolize renewal and the return of life. Warm yellow tones are used as subtle accents to represent hope, memory, and the first light of spring breaking through the silence.

I joined the contest for fun and to explore creature designs. I decided to use my two characters, Ace (left) and Dallas (right), from a fantasy story I'm writing. The sea creature that they're riding is named Gillbert. Gillbert is a friendly sea serpent who enjoys company from people and fellow sea creatures. It took me a total of 56 hours and 40 minutes. Which is approximately 2.3 days 😅. Anyway, this piece helped me discover how to design creatures and render water.

My Entry for the Riders of the Waterworld competition, this piece depicts man as the true riders of the water world, here we have a man, were an xp pen jersey which represents a staff of the company surfing on the back of a manta ray underwater. This traditional illustration depicts a diver who got their diving flashlight stolen by an orca! Manta Rays, who are one of Orcas natural prey, feel for the diver, as they all watch the apex predator swim away… (He’s using borrowed gear…so that lost flashlight is definitely coming out of his deposit…)

Amid the endless Waterworld, a jellyfish girl sailed alone on a fragile paper boat, drifting away from the currents everyone else followed. Though her path was uncertain, she continued forward, proving that choosing a different direction does not mean giving up — it means having the courage to find your own way.

My entry for 'Riders of the Waterworld' event! This represents a water spirit in what is now a ruined underwater temple which opens a portal into the overworld. It shows the overlapping of the natural world above and the natural world below.
