For me, turning 18 can be express as a moment of blossom. In this illustration I tried to represent elements I've been working in a while, like the mix of anatomic and natural elements all within a human figure, to highlight this mix of feelings a person this age might feel. Here, I tried to represent an explosion of nature that grows from the heart as a tale of fear and hope for what is coming next. For the process of it, I started working on an illustration of a heart I did some years ago and I thought it represented well the theme required but I wasn't happy enough with the result of it, so this was the perfect excuse to upgrade it giving it a better story to work on.
