This piece is inspired by the lamplighter the little prince meets on the fifth planet that he visits. I wanted to showcase how the character fervently adheres to his only task, turning on the lamp. He is trapped in a lonely and absurd cycle, yet he continues to carry out his task devotedly. The little prince looks surprised because the lamplighter is the opposite of the characters he met on the previous planets.
