The Jacaranda is a tree from South America, and it’s really special to me. Every April, my city would turn into this amazing shade of purple. Sadly, I’ve moved away from that town, so every year I find myself remembering how beautiful it looked. That’s why I wanted to make this tree the heart of this piece, a monk saying his final goodbyes to someone close to him, just like I’m saying goodbye to that view I used to see every year :)
