Day 34 - Mirror Man - Meet "Speculum", the man made of glass. Born from the shattered remains of a cursed looking glass, the "Speculum" wanders the high altitude flats where reality and reflection blur. It's jagged hide of ancient silvered glass ripples like liquid metal, capturing the identities of those who dare to gaze into it's fractured shields. Rather than using traditional weapons, it tilts it's mirror limbs to refract blinding light, projecting an intruder's greatest fears back at them. Fighting it is a war against oneself, as every strike against it's armor is reflected directly onto the attacker with equal force. It moves with the sharp clinking of falling glass, trailed by a magnetic cloud of razor edged shards. To shatter it is to invite seven centuries of misfortune and the permanent loss of one’s own image to the void. Only a warrior who has renounced their ego can hope to pass it's shimmering, silent watch. It remains the ultimate guardian of the ancient ruins, a living paradox of light and shadow that ensures the deepest secrets of the lost city remain hidden forever. The word "Speculum" is the Latin word for "mirror". It sounds clinical and ancient, highlighting it's role as a relic of a forgotten era. This was a fun theme to draw. Hope y'all would like it :)
