Yue the fox witch and her loyal companion Hēi Zǐ enjoy the season of spring by running through the city markets. It is a sunny afternoon, a light breeze in the air, as they find sugarcoated strawberries to enjoy while further discovering the now blooming city. 🍓 Yue is my dnd character who is primarily based on East Asian mythology, especially referencing Chinese mythology. A trickster and her fox who bound souls together. What is spring to you? To me, it is about seasonal change and nature, I’ve came up with several concepts trying to capture that feeling, one of them was centered about the Sakura trees which primarily bloom in March and April, the time this contest takes place in.🌸🐾🍓 I’m someone who highly prefers character art above anything else, but with this painting I wanted to tell a story and convey a feeling.
