My entry for the XP-Pen “Illusory Spring Dream” contest: This piece represents the emotional transition between winter and spring. I wanted to portray spring not as something sudden, but as a soft, almost illusory presence that slowly awakens through the protagonist’s journey. As the character moves through a cold and silent landscape, small traces of life begin to bloom around them, symbolizing hope, renewal, and emotional healing. The color palette reinforces this idea: cool tones represent winter and emotional distance, while soft greens and pinks symbolize renewal and the return of life. Warm yellow tones are used as subtle accents to represent hope, memory, and the first light of spring breaking through the silence.
