“By the year 2050, there will be more trash than fish in the ocean.” In a future where more than half of Earth’s land is drowned by seawater, pollution has changed so much of Earth’s life forms. Humanity must learn to adapt to its new home. Some live on boats, relying on the sea’s mercy. The rich have built underwater biodomes and move around in submarines. Then, there are special case humans: the Riders, who have evolved into new sub-species to survive. The Riders wear clothing from islands of fashion waste, living in co-existence with sea creatures, while acting as protectors of the waterworld that they now call home. It is a world of possibility if we let ignorance rule in the present day. Though, reality might not be as beautiful as riding sea creatures and forming bonds with them.
