Day 29 — Ice Cream Bucket Beast After the golden silence of the temple faded behind him, Matteo’s road led into a bright green meadow under a cheerful sky. It felt strangely peaceful after meeting so many powerful spirits. Then he heard something unusual. Clink… clonk… squish. Matteo followed the sound and stopped in amazement. Before him stood the Ice Cream Bucket Beast. It was a strange, waddling creature built from dessert: its body like a big bucket, its arms shaped like waffle cones filled with colorful scoops, and its legs made from crunchy ice cream cones that crunched softly with every step. A crooked cone hat sat on its head, dripping chocolate and cream. The beast looked… completely relaxed. It hummed softly while slowly licking a melting scoop from its own arm, as if enjoying a sunny afternoon snack. Matteo blinked, unsure if this was another mighty spirit or simply the strangest creature he had met so far. The Ice Cream Bucket Beast noticed him and tilted its head. Then, very generously, it scooped a little ball of ice cream and offered it to the boy. After dragons, spirits, fires, floods, and giants… Matteo finally faced a challenge he understood perfectly. He sat down in the grass. And together, traveler and monster shared ice cream under the warm sky. Sometimes, the world’s greatest magic… was simply sweetness.
