{Title}    "Girl with a futuristic steel earring"

{Artist}    Rubio

Valentina Remenar

Absolutely wonderful interpretation of the artwork "Girl with a Pearl Earring". Design and execution of all elements is amazing and reflection in the earring adds a nice touch and really brings out the sci-fi atmosphere. Overall the artwork shows a magnificent twist to the classical masterpiece.

Bryn

There's an incredible amount of detail in this piece, and I lovet how sharp the textures are. The highlights on the eyes work particularly well, especially as this is the area my eyes are drawn towards.

aw.anqi

This piece is skillfully intertwined with the original tone and portraiture of Vermeer's iconic subject. The props help in providing this piece's own reimagined context, and it's nicely painted as well, with the metal of the suit, the wires, and the glow of the headpiece, among other things. The lighting lends to a greater depth in the subject, and overall the artwork is rich with detail and storytelling.

Miyuli

The futuristic look adds a new interesting layer with a clean and beautiful execution. The details make this exceptio

Grand Prize

{Title}    Robotics 101 with Dr. Gero

{Artist}    tanjarce

Valentina Remenar

This artwork is simply remarkable. I love how everything is designed to fit the sci-fi concept, from the background, everyone's outfits and the robot on the table. Everyone's expressions are totally spot on and the fun touch of added French fries is a cherry on the top of the cake. Wonderful storytelling.

Bryn

This mashup of styles and timelines creates a very interesting narrative - it's like a genre of sci-fi that has yet to be explored.

aw.anqi

Fantastic mood and portrait. Lion is painted really well, as well as the lighting and figure.

Miyuli

Great clash of a classic look with a futuristic reimagining. Great expressions on the characters and a fantastic depiction of anything mechanical.

Runner-Up Prize

> Artist 12 Pro Display
> $100 USD cash prize

{Title}    Les hasards heureux de l'escarpolette

{Artist}    loutrerouge

Valentina Remenar

The artwork has such lovely warm atmosphere that brings a smile on your face. It looks fresh, playful and added cats in the background are simply adorable. The style and all the details are wonderfully done as well.

Bryn

Such a fun scene and the way the line art falls into the background gives a lot of depth to something that has non-realistic rendering. The colours are unified but so varied. I love the animation and expression on the swinging figure, and the other elements of this illustration are so cute.

aw.anqi

Very tender and bittersweet painting. The artwork features nice textures and the changed story still manages to capture the original sadness of the painting. Overall, it's a nice painting with an emotionality that I appreciate.

Miyuli

A beautiful and very detailed environment. This would look amazing in a children's book.

Runner-Up Prize

> Artist 12 Pro Display
> $100 USD cash prize

{Title}    Heat wave

{Artist}    MrsZoidberg

Valentina Remenar

Very original interpretation of the masterpiece "Ophelia". Elements in the background really add to the storytelling so that you could feel how hot and stuffy would the air in that room feel like. I'm loving the pose as well because she looks like that she's feeling too hot and exhausted which works well with the concept.

Bryn

The tonal values used in this piece are incredibly well balanced, and the rendering on the figure - particularly on the upper legs and torso, is so advanced. I also love how the level of detail is distributed around the scene - simple strokes on the background objects but high detail on the character's face.

aw.anqi

It's a very clean piece, and shows skill in use of texture, color, and shadow. It has a certain warmth to it that I love, helped by the muted color palette. Very nice job.

Runner-Up Prize

> Artist 12 Pro Display
> $100 USD cash prize

{Title}    The Birth of Venus

{Artist}    selvagemqt

Bryn

All of the brushwork, line weight, line colour and texture is executed so carefully while maintaining a lot of movement and expression. The colours are bold and they work well together. There's a lot I love about this illustration, overall - this piece gives me the impression that the creator is very passionate about their art.

Miyuli

I especially love the hair. The rendering of this piece is fantastic.
