In my imagination of the future, I would become the greatest storyteller of all time (The next Miyazaki)! Though I have a long way to go, I hope to create beautiful, emotional, honest stories for all people to enjoy, just like this artwork - Everything orange in the art piece is the present and everything blue is the future. This is in line with the brand colors of xppen and helps with keeping the present and the future separate in the storytelling. The girl and the boy are in the orange section of the piece but they have elements of blue on them (hair, pen, glasses, script etc) - this is to show that they are involved in the future and can impact it. (and they will) The girl is imagining the future whilst working on storyboards on her xppen display tablet. The boy can envision this future and wrote the script for the girl to draw. These characters are a reflection of my brother and I, as we often like to collaborate together. He mainly writes the stories and I mainly work on the art. I am known for day-dreaming of the possibilities and he is known for being able to see that future and achieving it. (Full Explanation on uploaded artwork >>>) I imagine that the futuristic world will not be vastly different from the present and as we are nostalgic people, we will still enjoy eternal art and true connection.
