"Future Me" 2024 Contest Entry. ---- For the "Future Me" contest, I wanted to represent a moment between an older me and my two nephews. I live far away from them and I hope to change that soon. In the future, we know that technology will be even greater than today. But what about the way we express ourselves and relate to people? I've always been a very caring person and no better way to present my future self than alongside my family. -- I had many ideas showing futuristic buildings and characters, but then I went for a different approach. The "Future Me" needs to be shown in a close perspective like this. My two nephews stopping whatever they're doing with their hi-tech devices to watch their uncle make art. Nothing is more valuable than our creativy. And in this illustration I wanted to show how captivated they were by what I do. -- In the background, there's a futuristic version of Rio de Janeiro, while I sit in a futuristic (and comfy) armchair while the boys stop playing w/ their flying hoverboard and VR goggles to enjoy the moment together.
