My Official Entry into the Future Me 2024 Contest. (Currently using event selection is causing error) @FutureMe2024 This concept perfectly embodies XP Pen’s brand values: Dream, Brave, True. It began in 2009, during my first struggles in art school. Inspired by Sherlock Holmes and the Robert Downey Jr. movie, I envisioned a character that reflects my artistic journey. At that time, I lacked the skills to bring my idea to life, but I aspire to revisit it as a “Future Me,” illustrating my growth as an artist. This character reimagines Watson as a blind marksman who, with innovative gadgets, never misses a detail. In a near-future setting, an aging man in his early forties faces impending blindness before his next birthday. To protect his remaining sight, he trains himself by blindfolding, relying on future technology to assist others. He becomes known as the infamous art protector. This version of Watson symbolizes my aspirations and the potential for creativity to illuminate our paths, even for those who struggle to see the world’s beauty. Through art, I believe our futures can be bright, regardless of challenges.
