I created this illustration to explore a softer, more fragile idea of spring, one that doesn’t come from a perfect or untouched place but grows out of something already marked by time. The twisted trees reflect resilience rather than beauty in the traditional sense, suggesting growth that has adapted and survived instead of flourishing freely. The stone statues represent what has been left behind or frozen in the past, elements that remain present but no longer define the scene. Above them, the two fairies embody a sense of lightness and quiet life, almost like small pieces of hope or emotion that persist despite everything. Through the pastel palette, I wanted to balance this contrast, using delicate colors to show that even in a space shaped by difficulty, something gentle and alive can still emerge.
