I made KRAK-ing the Abyss.png to put a darker, way more intense twist on the "Riders of the Waterworld" theme. I wanted to show a RIDE-or-die partnership down in the deep sea where things are actually life or death. Instead of fighting each other, the diver and the giant scrap shark are working in perfect sync to survive an ambush of massive tentacles. It’s kind of funny that I’m talking so much about teamwork when I actually submitted this as an individual entry. But honestly, that’s just how I interpret the piece, after all you can't really be a "rider" without a mount or a partner to depend on. It’s a metaphor for the competition itself and how Magma encourages artists to "sketch, draw, and grow together." Doing your own thing is cool, but the idea here is that real teamwork isn't just for when things are easy. It's about having a partner you trust completely so you can turn a total nightmare into a win.✊✊✊
