Rather than depicting an action scene, I wanted to capture the quiet aftermath—a moment where Levi stands battered yet unbroken. The bandages, scars, and solemn expression symbolize his resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering determination despite the countless hardships he has endured. The creative process began with rough sketches to establish a centered composition that would immediately draw attention to Levi's expression. I refined the facial anatomy and carefully placed the bandages to reflect the injuries he sustained while preserving his recognizable features. Once the line work was complete, I blocked in muted grayscale tones to reinforce the somber mood. I gradually rendered the skin, clothing, and battle-worn textures, adding subtle shadows and highlights to emphasize depth and realism. Finally, I incorporated soft overhead lighting, fine details such as tears and scars, and a textured background to create a cinematic atmosphere that conveys both exhaustion and quiet strength. The XP-Pen Deco Mini7 V2 played a key role throughout the illustration process.
