TITLE : Gastly Evolution Line This artwork was inspired by the iconic Gastly evolution line Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar from the Pokémon series. Rather than presenting them individually, I wanted to create a dynamic composition that showcases their progression in both power and personality. Gengar dominates the center with its signature mischievous grin, while Gastly and Haunter emerge from the surrounding shadows, emphasizing the eerie and playful nature of Ghost-type Pokémon. The glowing blue aura and floating debris create the feeling that their ghostly energy is overwhelming the environment. The XP-Pen Deco Mini7 V2 was an essential tool throughout the entire illustration process. Its responsive pen pressure allowed me to transition seamlessly between bold line work and soft airbrush blending, making it easier to paint glowing ghostly effects, smooth color transitions, and detailed facial expressions. The tablet's precision was especially useful when rendering the luminous aura, energy particles, and subtle highlights around each Pokémon. The customizable shortcut keys significantly improved my workflow by providing quick access to essential functions such as undo, brush size adjustments, layer switching, and color sampling. Its compact and ergonomic design also provided excellent comfort during long illustration sessions, allowing me to focus on composition, lighting, and visual storytelling without interruption.
