【01】Sleepy Chandelier.
For this character's design, I used a chandelier with bell-shaped flower lamps as my main reference, keeping her hanging from a chain with small floating "flower lamps" as an extension of her own body, instead of showing them as separate metal arms.
While rendering her in color, I wasn't happy with my first attempt — the values and contrast felt too flat, and the palette wasn't working the way I wanted. So I switched the piece to grayscale to rebuild the lighting from scratch, focusing purely on value contrast before bringing color back in. Once the light and shadow structure felt right, I reapplied the palette, and it finally read the way I had envisioned.
Her personality comes directly from her name: she's sleepy. I kept her expression soft and drowsy — closed eyes, a small open mouth like a quiet yawn — and added floating "Zzz" and a few scattered sparkles around her to reinforce that dreamy, half-asleep atmosphere.
