I started with a rough sketch to establish Mirai’s seated pose and the cat’s position, making sure their interaction felt natural and playful. After refining the linework, I focused on the colors and lighting. I used Mirai’s dark clothing and bright red hair to create a strong visual contrast against the white background. The red paw prints were added as an important storytelling element, showing the cat’s playful mess without needing a complicated environment.
