What if Robin Hood was a winter character? Thats the theme I wanted to work with. I imagined a line of these toys as what if fairytale concepts. I chose to keep constant winter and robin hood elements throughout my designs. For Zero, I did my best to maintain his base design, however I did make some modifications/additions such as altering the socks for winter boots in which the shorter sock is now a boot folded over. I also altered his hair tuft to look like Robin Hoods signature feather. I added things I believed would be simple such as the gloves and the scarf, however my absolute favourite design feature is the snow goggles, I loved the simplicity of simply changing the top band to an arrow. Null also got similar alterations, such as one of the button eyes being fluffy to be an ode to snow. I enjoy the idea of interactable elements, so the ability to pull up and push down the face covering felt like the perfect simple addition. My favourite design element are the crystals, they felt like the perfect addition to the design. Fenix also received a lot of experimentation, notably Fenix became an arctic fox. Unlike the complete rogue takes that Null and Zero received, Fenix was a more refined design. I really enjoyed the arrow earring pull together Fenix's link to Zero and Robin Hood. I did not want to completely abandon the oranges of Fenix, and thus I added orange elements as an ode to his design, notably the amulet. I like to think the amulet would have a warming effect.
