The theme I used for the design is retro futuristic/Atomic Age. For the Zero's design, I was inspired by sci-fi space movie characters from the ’90s through the early 2000s, featuring a tight, latex like suit with gloves, white armor, and a ray gun as his main weapon. The white color in this design comes from the original color of Zero’s pants and socks, while the orange is taken from Fenix’s primary color, this was done to make Zero and Fenix’s designs look matching. As for Fenix itself, the design is inspired by 90s robot designs. For the arms and legs, I designed them to resemble the extendable and retractable arms of cartoon robot characters, while Fenix’s head is inspired by the shape of a retro CRT TV, including the pixelated face. I also changed the spelling of Fenix’s name to use numbers to make it feel more robotic. Lastly, I made the design for Null simpler compared to Zero and Fenix. The design is inspired by common green alien with antenna, and also from the slime creatures in RPG games.
