‘나의 세계관’이라는 주제를 마주하며 저는 세상을 어떻게 바라보고 있는지, 그리고 그 안에서 저는 어떤 존재인지 깊이 생각했습니다. 제가 느끼는 세상은 단순히 밝거나 어두운 한 가지 모습이 아니라, 불안과 희망이 동시에 흐르는 공간입니다. 비가 내리면 하늘은 흐려지지만, 그 비가 그친 자리에는 또 다른 풍경이 남습니다. 저는 그 순간에 주목했습니다. 그래서 비가 지나간 뒤의 웅덩이를 배경으로, 조선시대 복장을 한 한 명의 학생을 그렸습니다. 과거의 배움과 성찰을 상징하는 그 모습은, 아직 배우는 과정에 있는 저 자신이기도 합니다. 저는 세상을 단정 짓기보다 끊임없이 질문하고 고민하며 의미를 찾고자 하는 사람입니다. 물웅덩이 속에 비친 또 다른 나는 방황하는 현재이자 아직 도달하지 않은 미래입니다. 환하게 웃고 있지는 않지만, 좌절한 모습도 아닙니다. 어딘가를 응시하며 생각에 잠긴 표정은 꿈을 향해 나아가면서도 스스로에게 질문을 던지는 제 마음을 담고 있습니다. 저는 그 흔들림을 지우지 않았습니다. 진흙 속에서도 구슬은 빛난다고 믿기 때문입니다. 작품 속 구슬은 저의 꿈과 가치관을 상징합니다. 다양한 색의 구슬들은 앞으로 제가 선택하게 될 수많은 미래입니다. 때로는 작은 포말이 일고 물결이 흐트러질지라도, 그 파문은 결국 저를 더 넓은 곳으로 이끌 것이라 믿습니다. 또한 화면 한편에는 작은 정지 표지판을 배치했습니다. 저에게 정지는 포기가 아니라 잠시 숨을 고르는 시간입니다. 멈춤과 휴식이 있기에 다시 나아갈 힘도 생긴다고 생각합니다. 저는 멈출 줄도 알고, 다시 걸어갈 줄도 아는 사람이 되고 싶습니다. 하늘에는 하트 모양의 비행운을 남기며 날아가는 비행기가 있습니다. 그것은 제가 지향하는 마음가짐을 담은 장면입니다. 저는 경쟁 속에서도 사랑과 평화를 잃지 않고, 자신의 길을 걸으며 따뜻한 흔적을 남기는 사람이 되고 싶습니다. 지금은 땅을 바라보고 있지만, 마음만은 하늘을 향해 있습니다. 세상은 끊임없이 흔들리지만, 그 속에서 의미를 만들어 가는 주체는 나 자신이라고 믿습니다. 방황하는 현재와 노력하는 지금, 그리고 결국 더 단단해질 미래의 나를 향한 다짐. 그것이 제가 그린 ‘나의 세계관’입니다.

현실에선 절대 안될거라고 생각하며, 불가능하다고 생각하는 모든걸 정말 가능하게 하는 세계관을 표현하고 싶었습니다. 만화 주인공은 모든 면에서 타고났고 뛰어나고, 재능이 충만한 모습을 보여주기 마련이지만 반대로 현실에서는 원하는대로 되지 않으며 실패하기만 하는 모습이 어떻게 보면 당연할 수도 있지만 저의 마음엔 들지 않았기에 저의 세계관에서, 제가 세상을 보는 시선이나 상상에서 만큼은 상상하는대로 이뤄지는 희망찬 모습을 그리고 싶었습니다.
