My personal experience with growth and evolution is with my art path. After all these years of drawing, I can tell how far I've come and how much I still have ahead, so I tried to picture that, an old version of me starting this journey only with a pencil, a notebook, and a head full of dreams, with a more grown-up version of myself armed with a new set of tools and experiences back, aiming to the stars, cause as they say: the sky is not the limit

The memories of turning 18 are still fresh in my mind. Time is moving, huh? awkward hallways of school to the world of adulthood, embracing uncertainties. Nerves and excitement, legally an adult at 18, but what does that mean? Embark on a shoreline or plunge into a big, foreign ocean? Invincibility fantasies were dashed by the age of 18. The young celebration was invaded by responsibilities. Hope appeared amidst the mayhem. The hope for a better future sparked a desire to learn and develop. Not all solutions, only bravery. Choices reflected a fresh viewpoint. College became the scene of evolution. Study nights transformed into friendships that continued to grow and develop. Dreams from your youth are now attainable. With each stride, the future grew closer. Evolution that goes beyond years—resilience in the face of life. The distance traveled is remarkable when looking back. Uncertain bar to accepting change and grabbing opportunities. Recall that growth shapes the fabric of life for those who are on the edge of it. Embrace it, trust in sunnier future. Life's journey, evolving to our finest selves, step by step.

There is multiple interpretation of this piece like journey and evolution of artists or explorations comes with time. But as an artist i wanted to make an art that represent our long journey and struggles. Passing scorching deserts, sailing in violent seas, climbing steep snowy mountans then reaching space. I wanted to show every season, different times and different vehicles. Some goes by walk and ships but somes uses zeppelins. Tried to show each struggle, hard and easy or fast and slow. For technical standpoint each picture sings a song but i wanted mine to play orchestra. Very diffrent and multiple elements compliments each other in single picture. It was quite hard to merge them coherently but i think i managed. I started desing with paper and pencil. Tried different approaches interestingly when thigs comes to evolution or developement my mind goes to elevation or hights. But some struggles and evolutions are vertical so i chosen diffrent route there. My biggest struggle with this piece was last circle. I tried around 8 different scene for this part but every one of them falls flat and loses its effect of 3d and prespective. So i chose more grounded option, drew Twighlight effect and it fit perfecly. I take into consideration of my composition with golden raio and my eye movement as old masters done. Enjoy...

Hola, buenas tardes, mi nombre es Lorena Mejía, y participé en el concurso Future Me 2024 XPPen con una animación en donde yo me imaginaba en el futuro como una profesora de arte para inspirar a las nuevas generaciones, pero por mi ignorancia dibuje unas pinturas muy famosas que tiene derechos de autor (El hijo del hombre, Composición con rojo, azul y amarillo, La persistencia de la memoria y Díptico de Marilyn), fue un error mío, y quiero disculparme por colocarlas en mi animación, las dibuje porque bajo el contexto de ser una maestra de arte en el futuro era una forma de mostrarles a las nuevas generaciones las grandes obras de arte que han marcado historia y que por medio de ellas lograran inspirarse y amar el arte. Claramente, esto no es escusa para dibujar arte que no es mío, y pido disculpas por mi ignorancia en el tema de derechos de autor. Corregí mi error y volví a subir mi animación sin esas pinturas, colocando ilustraciones de mi autoría, de antemano les agradezco su comprensión y nuevamente me disculpó por mi ignorancia en no investigar más sobre los derechos de autor, muchas gracias.
