If the winner's region is unable to receive the prize due to shipping restrictions, a cash alternative will be provided (the amount will be paid after deducting applicable fees).
Cash rewards will be paid via the Magma platform, and winners must register and provide a payment method.
You will be judged on the following criteria:
Visual Clarity and Presentation:
Evaluate the composition, color, detail, and overall visual impact of the entries.
Theme Interpretation:
Examine whether the entry's understanding and creative expression of the theme "Riders of the Waterworld" is clear and unique.
Originality:
Evaluate the entry's unique creativity, imagination, and differentiation from existing works.
Collaboration:
Only team entries will be considered. Evaluate the effectiveness of division of labor, communication, and co-creation among team members.
Our winners will be determined by our panel of judges: Eyekoo and Bean from Magma, and XPPen's in-house illustrators!
Eyekoo is the Quality Assurance lead and Artist Advocate at Magma. He handles the testing of new features and writing the guides for them, before they are rolled out to our users. His background is in traditional fine art, but today you'll often find him with a drawing tablet in front of him, drawing quirky pigeons in Art Jams. He also has a YouTube channel where he tests different digital art tools.
Hello! I am an illustrator/graphic designer based in the US, specializing in creating personalized digital pieces through a unique and playful art style.
Magma's community has been a major change in my art life and inspires me to continue to create artworks with a huge variety of other artists. Alongside my design work, I enjoy creating character design, world building/storytelling, and animation projects.
The judging will be conducted by XPPen's senior in-house illustrators - a team of passionate creators with extensive experience in evaluating art competitions. Their professional insight and impartial approach ensure that every entry receives a fair and inspiring assessment.
Artists can enter in two different tracks: Individual or Team
For INDIVIDUAL entries
1. Submit your artwork to the XPPen Community and select “Riders of the Waterworld” in “Event selection”.
2. Your entry is considered valid once it appears in the event gallery.
3. Share your submitted artwork to Instagram, follow and tag both XPPen and Magma, and use the hashtag #MagmaWaterworldRiders for more exposure.
For TEAM entries
1. Gather a team of 2 to 3 people to compete with.
2. Create a canvas using Magma.com.
3. Work together to bring your idea to life. You will be scored on collaborative effort.
4. Finally, submit your final piece to become eligible for the competition. Only one team member needs to do this for TEAM entries. Upload your artwork to Instagram, follow and tag both XPPen and Magma, and use the hashtag #MagmaWaterworldRiders for more exposure.
You can enter both but can only win in one.
