<나의 유니버스> 빅뱅 이전 태초의 우주는 고작 단 하나의 점에서 시작되었다죠. 그러고 보면 우리는 대체로 크고 화려한 것을 좋아하지만, 어쩌면 작고 눈에 보이지 않는 것일수록 더욱 폭발적이게 될 것인지도 모르겠네요. 남들이 보기엔 작고 하찮은 희망조차 되지 않는 가능성일지라도 그저 갈고닦는 겁니다. 더욱 환하고 위대해질 나의 우주를 위해. <My UNIVERSE> It is said that the early universe before the Big Bang started at just one point. In a remote corner of a vast planet in this immense universe, there is an elderly man whose presence exudes wisdom and seriousness. His large desk holds a gigantic book where he meticulously writes about a planet called “XP Pen”. It’s clear that he deeply understands the secrets of this universe. I wonder, is he an explorer? Or a researcher?…the elderly man replies: “ i am a GEOGRAPHER”. This is my interpretation of the geographer. I hope you enjoy his portrayal as much I enjoyed creating it. Have a fantastic day!

Hola, buenas tardes, mi nombre es Lorena Mejía, y participé en el concurso Future Me 2024 XPPen con una animación en donde yo me imaginaba en el futuro como una profesora de arte para inspirar a las nuevas generaciones, pero por mi ignorancia dibuje unas pinturas muy famosas que tiene derechos de autor (El hijo del hombre, Composición con rojo, azul y amarillo, La persistencia de la memoria y Díptico de Marilyn), fue un error mío, y quiero disculparme por colocarlas en mi animación, las dibuje porque bajo el contexto de ser una maestra de arte en el futuro era una forma de mostrarles a las nuevas generaciones las grandes obras de arte que han marcado historia y que por medio de ellas lograran inspirarse y amar el arte. Claramente, esto no es escusa para dibujar arte que no es mío, y pido disculpas por mi ignorancia en el tema de derechos de autor. Corregí mi error y volví a subir mi animación sin esas pinturas, colocando ilustraciones de mi autoría, de antemano les agradezco su comprensión y nuevamente me disculpó por mi ignorancia en no investigar más sobre los derechos de autor, muchas gracias.

As an artist seeking to transcend conventional boundaries, I present my entrancing masterpiece, "Garden of Wisdom" for this illustrious contest. This artwork delves deep into the realms of consciousness evolution, inviting viewers on a journey through an alien garden on an ancient, enigmatic planet. At its core, the artwork features an otherworldly mentor, an epitome of enlightenment and growth. In one hand, the mentor clutches an ancient tome, representing the profound wisdom they impart. In the other, they brandish a Scepter of Wisdom, an emblem of cosmic enlightenment. Around this central figure, a group of diminutive, curious alien pupils forms a circle, their presence symbolizing the interconnectedness of knowledge across time and space. This piece is a testament to the eternal quest for wisdom and growth, a pursuit that transcends our terrestrial existence. As a medical scientist turned illustrator, I chose to illustrate my personal growth and evolution story for this competition, in my graphic novel/cartoon/anime tv show style. The illustration shows a room which is half science-themed and half art-themed and there is a young lady walking towards the light from outside the room. To emphasize growth, the color gradient changes from blue to green from the science to art areas; Also, plant imagery is used. The young lady is confidently walking towards the light from the art side of the room, showing her evolution from being a scientist to becoming an illustrator. She’s carrying a green bag with an xp-pen tablet in it, to show growth and being an active illustrator. (Also, I just really appreciate xp-pen making great technology so affordable) Her vision for a better future is becoming an illustrator. I have made her look about 18 to show she’s choosing her better future young, though it took me longer to be brave enough to change careers. Xp-Pen logo colors are used. The window nook and box of books for donation show gradual change/break between switching careers. The art side of the room has an xp-pen display tablet with this illustration on it. The walls have posters and a nod to art (pigeon character) that got me one of my first jobs. It took a lot of bravery to choose my true self as an illustrator instead of a more stable job in sciences (which is expected of Asians), so I have shown the young lady walking confidently.
