Rider no. 5 leads the competition with his powerful shark, followed closely by racers riding their own unique sea creatures. The colorful reefs, dynamic movement, unique color composition, and lively finish line atmosphere bring the scene together.

I made KRAK-ing the Abyss.png to put a darker, way more intense twist on the "Riders of the Waterworld" theme. I wanted to show a RIDE-or-die partnership down in the deep sea where things are actually life or death. Instead of fighting each other, the diver and the giant scrap shark are working in perfect sync to survive an ambush of massive tentacles. It’s kind of funny that I’m talking so much about teamwork when I actually submitted this as an individual entry. But honestly, that’s just how I interpret the piece, after all you can't really be a "rider" without a mount or a partner to depend on. It’s a metaphor for the competition itself and how Magma encourages artists to "sketch, draw, and grow together." Doing your own thing is cool, but the idea here is that real teamwork isn't just for when things are easy. It's about having a partner you trust completely so you can turn a total nightmare into a win.✊✊✊

"Depths of the Forgotten City" Deep beneath the surface, where light fades and silence takes over, an explorer drifts through the ruins of a lost civilization. Wearing a vintage diving suit, the rider cruises through the ocean depths on a whale shark, stumbling upon an ancient sunken city, its columns covered in coral, swallowed by the sea. Creative Process : The project started with a moodboard on PureRef pulling references from ArtStation and Pinterest, then some sketches to figure out the composition. I blocked out the scene in Blender to get the layout right, then worked on the lighting with caustic effects to recreate how light refracts through water. The rider was built piece by piece, whale shark, saddle and character, before adding the environment: temple, rocks and corals. A volumetric fog was added for atmosphere, and everything was wrapped up in compositing. I'm joining this contest because I'd love to win a pen display tablet. I really want to get into digital sculpting and drawing to level up my 3D projects in Blender, and a screen tablet would be a game changer for that.

After all these years of drawing, I can tell how far I've come and how much I still have ahead, so I tried to picture that, an old version of me starting this journey only with a pencil, a notebook, and a head full of dreams, with a more grown-up version of myself armed with a new set of tools and experiences back, aiming to the stars, cause as they say: the sky is not the limit

There is multiple interpretation of this piece like journey and evolution of artists or explorations comes with time. But as an artist i wanted to make an art that represent our long journey and struggles. Passing scorching deserts, sailing in violent seas, climbing steep snowy mountans then reaching space. I wanted to show every season, different times and different vehicles. Some goes by walk and ships but somes uses zeppelins. Tried to show each struggle, hard and easy or fast and slow. For technical standpoint each picture sings a song but i wanted mine to play orchestra. Very diffrent and multiple elements compliments each other in single picture. It was quite hard to merge them coherently but i think i managed. I started desing with paper and pencil. Tried different approaches interestingly when thigs comes to evolution or developement my mind goes to elevation or hights. But some struggles and evolutions are vertical so i chosen diffrent route there. My biggest struggle with this piece was last circle. I tried around 8 different scene for this part but every one of them falls flat and loses its effect of 3d and prespective. So i chose more grounded option, drew Twighlight effect and it fit perfecly. I take into consideration of my composition with golden raio and my eye movement as old masters done. Enjoy...

<나의 유니버스> 빅뱅 이전 태초의 우주는 고작 단 하나의 점에서 시작되었다죠. 그러고 보면 우리는 대체로 크고 화려한 것을 좋아하지만, 어쩌면 작고 눈에 보이지 않는 것일수록 더욱 폭발적이게 될 것인지도 모르겠네요. 남들이 보기엔 작고 하찮은 희망조차 되지 않는 가능성일지라도 그저 갈고닦는 겁니다. 더욱 환하고 위대해질 나의 우주를 위해. <My UNIVERSE> It is said that the early universe before the Big Bang started at just one point. So we generally like big, fancy things, but maybe the smaller and invisible, the more explosive it is. Even if it's a small, hopeless possibility, it's just grinding and polishing. In a remote corner of a vast planet in this immense universe, there is an elderly man whose presence exudes wisdom and seriousness. His large desk holds a gigantic book where he meticulously writes about a planet called “XP Pen”. It’s clear that he deeply understands the secrets of this universe. I wonder, is he an explorer? Or a researcher?…the elderly man replies: “ i am a GEOGRAPHER”. This is my interpretation of the geographer. I hope you enjoy his portrayal as much I enjoyed creating it. Have a fantastic day!
